Emily Van Damme graduated in law from Ghent University in 2010, after which she became a lawyer at DLPA. In 2014, she gained an additional master’s degree in intellectual property law. She became a partner at DLPA in 2019.
Emily is a passionate speaker who won the pleading contest held by the Kortrijk Bar in 2011, also walking away with the Vlaams Pleitjuweel (Flemish award for pleading) and was among the winners of the Southern Pleading Contest in Breda. She was also active for four years as a member of the board of the Kortrijk Young Bar Conference.
Within DLPA, Emily mainly concentrates on intellectual property rights, distribution rights and commercial law, drawing on years of experience.
