Trees Vuylsteke graduated in law from KU Leuven in 1986 and has been a partner at DLPA since 1999. For many years, she has been a substitute judge at the Commercial Court of Ghent, Kortrijk division.
Besides her specialisation in company law, within which she assists shareholders and directors with every step of business life, Trees has extensive expertise in supporting businesses in difficulty. She also focuses on the subject of intellectual property rights, including brand and design rights, patents and copyrights. Trees has years of experience in these fields, gives regular lectures and can assist you with advice, mediation and litigation.
Trees is also an accredited mediator in civil and commercial cases, and she is a member of “Uw bemiddelaars”, an association of accredited independent mediators.
Furthermore, Trees is a member of the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) and the BNVBIE (Belgische Nationale Vereniging voor de Bescherming van de Industriële Eigendom, or Belgian national association for the protection of industrial property).
